I have been luck that VJ has been without major behavior issues since she started on her medication several years ago. Until we found someone who could tell us she was sick and had Huntington and new how to treat the behavior part of the illness she was almost unbearable to live with. All that changed with proper treatment .
In the past few weeks I have observed a lot of obsessive compulsiveness around spending , she saw a lamp at friend 's home and had to have them and she had already order two others from another place. lamps lead to all new dishes and now we need to new glass ware. I said enough is enough and she just would not listen. We were returning home yesterday , driving on the interstate when I heard the doors unlock in the car . I ask her why she did that & and re- locked the doors . She said I am going to jump I just don't know when. she quickly unlocked the doors and attempted to open her door. She still had her seat belt on. I was already slowing but could not
stop completely because of traffic . I got off at the next exit and closed the door, but I am not sure if the storm has passed. As I was putting her to bed last night , she said she was sorry so I think she know her actions were at least dangerous and scared the hell out of me.
We were just at Duke and are not due back for six months , so I think I will observe her for a while before I call the doctor and discuss med changes , which would also be battle with her.
It appears to be spring time and it is only march 1st, I think we still have some winter left this year , but it must happen quickly.
I played golf yesterday and it appeared like I had never played before . I will spend some time on the practice ground before I return to the field of play , playing that poorly is just no fun.
Is everyone as tired of the current election season as I am and we have the main event yet to be.
