Time

It is hard to adjust to the speed each day passes, i get up and go Thur the daily routine and the day is gone . The full dose of reality set in when I view the calender .I move from one doctor appointment to another or one meeting to another and can't say what i have gotten done . My wife is still sick , the hospital is still there and life go one with my family. Jame Burk talks about a glass rainbow, maybe that were i am, under a glass rainbow.

Saturday afternoon and we have decided to stay home for supper , which is not normal for us , but i wanted to have a few pops and relax.

I trimmed the cherry trees outside my office window today so I could see the golf course better , they have become over grown , so in the cool of the morning (90f) i took care of a task i could have completed in the cool of the spring . when I came back inside to view my work , a green lizard came down from somewhere to check out my work, I watch him for a while and wonder does he see the glass rainbow.

The hospital meeting were good and we are on a good path financially, I am trying to remind myself , the hospital will survive with or without me. All of us forget the world will spin with or with out us.

Sj called and wonder why he was not chosen for one of the coaching job in Johnston county , I hope it was not his father politics.

All is well it is truly hot as hell , I guess summer in NC is a bitch

catching up

Vj had appointments on Friday with the surgeon in chapel hill as well as the folk at Duke . We started with UNC at 9.30 , Dr Lim does not want surgery and does not think it is a good ID for a # of reason that make a lot of sense to me and VJ . He suggest a pain specialist. We will ask for a referral from Dr G next week.
The Duke appointment took the rest of the day, Vj completed the dimebon trial and move to the open shelf part of the study.This will last until the drug is approved or she turns green which ever comes first. We left Duke after 5pm ,stop ed for dinner and came home and crashed . Vj did great , she is tough when she needs to be.
We got her a transporter chair last week so when we need it we have it most have some type of chair , but a lot do not like the Hilton during the national HD convention .

Sj and family should be returning from Aruba today , got on counication while they were gone and Sj said they were having a ball. The school year is almost ready to restart and the KID are still in SC , so much for all my connection in JC. What goes around will come around sooner or latter , it always happens.

We got a good amount of rain yesterday , it has been very hot and dry . The farmer must be very worried about there crops, farming is a form of gambling .They put there money in the ground and hope for good weather , but i am convinced farming is a life style as much an occupation. I was exposed to farming as a young man and that was enough for me

The hospital saga continues , politic is now the name of the game , which I think will lead to the sale of the hospital in the next 5 years , it don't have to happen.

No golf this week , stiff back last week and played like when i started many years ago. Part of the problem maybe most of the problem is i have let my fat ass get out of shape , which means if i fart hard I can strain something. I am back to some lite exercise which will = more flexibility . Loss of flexibility and muscle is the bane of old men , maybe there a a few more problem that come with age , but i guess there are pill for most of it.
Life is good.

The 4th

Today is an important day for all of us . Forget about the fireworks , the cookout and all the rest,today should be the main holiday we celebrate in this country. I am of the opinion most people take our freedoms for granted. The ability to chose our leaders and get rid of them if they don't preform. i know we are not very good any either , but we have the opportunity to do so. None of us agree with ever thing we read or hear from the media , but they can keep saying what ever they wish and if you don't like it switch to another source. Remember what willie nelson said when his doctor told him to stop smoking , drinking and chasing ."I guess i will have to find another doc", but i think it is important to experience more than one view.

Vj and i will visit with mom today and maybe her mom tomorrow, nothing big for us, just enjoy the time we have.We meet with the friend of Friend who's wife has Huntington and he was quite a trip, he and his wife have the normal problem which go with HD , but his wife has stoped taking her Med's. We found that out when his daughter call us .He was not aware of this .
I know we are lucky and I know tough time are ahead , but for now we are going to keep doing what we are doing and enjoying what we have.

Four day of golf last week and i play well, lost three day and broke even one time , my brother may have been right ,"if you play good and keep losing , maybe it is time to find another fish"
