Thoughts on stuff

Meeting week is over and for another month and some progress was made, I am changing the way i deal with some of the folk and there BS.
I left home yesterday morning at 7:30 and got home last night at midnight. My point i am retired and i have keep those hours since the day I would work all day and chase all night. I ask you what wrong with this picture.
Vj has been going to rehab for several months and i don't see any difference in her ability to move around. We must find another solution. We will see a surgeon next week and another one in a few weeks.She has put on some weight due mainly to the change in her medication which has improved her appetite.She maintains a great attitude. Our anniversary is this weekend and i think she want to dress up and go to our favorite high end restaurant..

Sj still has not nailed down a teaching job in this area and i am not sure now is the right time for him to make the move. The news is filled with notice of reduction of staff in the education system.
Just finished Lay Down My swords and shield by Burk , not his best effort.
I have got a lot of yard work to do , but i just work up the energy to get to it.

The weather is great and the trees and flowers are prefect, time for a little golf.

The WoodShed Again

Well the county commissioner have take me and JRS to the woodshed again , because of there concern about the financial condition of our hospital.We listen to the same thing we heard from them last time and told them the same thing we told them last time .I told my self i would not meet again , but i did .These old boys believe you can fix anything ,by getting into a room (smoke filled) and making some kind of a deal. They are more worried about someone down at the store who heard someone say; ECT.What they fail to understand in the words of MLK. "we come in different ship , but we are all in the same boat."

VJ is doing well with rehab , but i don't think it has impacted her pain or her ability to walk at all. We will reevaluate next week. To Duke on Monday to check in for the dimeabon trial.

I will spend the this afternoon and tonight and in the morning in a meeting, which i have no interest in attending . That makes me the dummy!

The weather has been great and the flowering Cherry's were beautiful this year , may be the best i remember.I wish i had the power of the written word to describe what I see every day, the wildlife , the lake and the many different colors of the flowers and trees. I don't but i do enjoy what I see and will continue to enjoy the wonderful world even if i can share it with the reader.

Catch up

I have caught up my busy work this morning and am looking forward to getting outside and enjoying this great weather with a little golf this afternoon. VJ and the cat are on the daybed sleeping , both are snoring.

I worked in the yard a couple of hours this week and used scrap lumber left over from the extension of the pier to box in the flower bed by the driveway entrance. I enjoy the task and it came out OK. My hand are still sore , i guess i should expect that. Sitting in an office on my ass most of my life will cause all kind of problems.

We had dinner with friend last night and and had a great time. There were three couples , perfect for conversation. Steve cooked and as usual it was great.

A pair of mallards (ducks) are nesting in backyard , i don't know were the eggs are but they must be close. A mallard in flight is a wonderful sight , it make me think of the movie top gun for some reason.

Vj is doing well and is really excited about getting relief from the pain in her legs. She continues on Dimeabon and the only change i have seen,she gets up early and most day can go all day , sometimes she will take a little nap like this morning.

A neighbor told me yesterday that he was short selling his house and as soon as he can reestablish his credit he wants to buy our house , mind you he has never been inside the house and the house he is selling is three times larger than our home. Not sure about all of that ??

More of the same.

VJ had her rehab today as well as a cardo. test to check out her shortness of breath. I think she is so out of shape and walking takes so much energy ,it just causes the shortness of breath. I can practice medicine if i want to, but i think we will continue to see the real doctors for the time being.

The world is covered in a fine yellow dusting of pollen, it is ever were. The flowering trees which are beautiful this time of year are all dull because of the heavy yellow coat.

The hospital saga March's on , i am taking a more aggressive role in the area of cash and collection , several meeting this week to try to get both moving in a positive direction . The hospice grand opening is Saturday and i think i am going to pass, i saw the program today and it is going to be a political pep rally .Not what i had in mind when I started the hospice project five years ago.

Vj want to paint a couple of room and i am going to help her with it , I hope she will be happy with the color she has chosen ,she saw it in someone hall bathroom.

I compiled the history of the 12 months i spent on the USS Taylor for the reunion association today. I may compile of a history of my past life leaving out all the thing I would not want know, I think that is the way all history is written ?

Life is good hope to play golf tomorrow .

The snakes are out.

There is a bed of camellias and two cherry trees outside my window , I just saw a young black snake come down from one of the trees . I was stomping around in those bushes earlier today spraying weeds. In the past week the earth has gone from brown mud color to almost green and the dogwoods and cherries trees will be in full color by Sunday.great time of the year.

Took Vj to the dentist today , dropped her off and made a visit to someone who called me yesterday for help with hospital matter.He told me he had heard talk that there are people on the county commission who would like to see the hospital fail which would mean I had failed . Go figure i don't have a lot of tact sometime , when i am talking to folks who i think are fools or acting that way .The hospital is so important to this community i can't understand the venom that would result in this kind of thinking. I guess i need a lead vest.

Vj has a lot going on and she is very encourage that she will be able to walk without pain in the future. The Dimeabon or something has given her more energy and she appears more alert.

Had dinner at a friends house last night we had a very nice time
